True Sadhana
Immersion with Deva & Eaden Shantay
March 8th - 15th, 2025, at Loma Sagrada in Nosara, Costa Rica
Yoga | Ayurveda | Vedanta
In this immersion you will dive deep into: Yoga (asana, pranayama, mudras), Meditation, Ayurveda & Vedanta. You will study the history and lineages, learn about the techniques and practices and will understand how and when to utilize them. Your mind will be stimulated through wisdom that has been passed down for over 5000yrs.
You will study ancient scriptures and engage in lively conversations with your peers and teachers. This immersion will expand your mind and leave you yearning for more! The life of a student never ends as there is always more to explore!
After studying the various facets of yoga, you will naturally want to practice what you have learned. Experiencing the wisdom directly supports the process of integration.
This immersion gives you the tools needed to develop a deep personal practice.
You will learn how to create a solid daily yoga asana and meditation practice and how to live an aligned Ayurvedic lifestyle per your constitution. For those of you who desire to continue further and become a certified Yoga Teacher—a personal practice is necessary to be a good teacher. You cannot teach that which you do not know and sharing with others before concepts are truly grasped, leads to a lack of integrity in teaching.
This immersion is a prerequisite for our True Nature 200hr Teacher Training and adequately prepares you to begin learning to teach.
Organic, Local, Ayurvedic Cuisine:
Be nourished by organic, local ingredients prepared with Ayurvedic principles, to cultivate health and wellness. In Ayurveda, all dis-ease begins in the gut; at Loma Sagrada, health and wellness is at the forefront of our practices. See firsthand what it takes to bring food to your plate once you explore the seven acres of restored pasture. Witness how permaculture transforms an arid environment into a food oasis. From the fruit orchard to the herb terraces, food garden surrounded by chickens and bees to your plate, your culinary experience is curated to foster balance and harmony within your body and around us all.
Circadian Rhythm Balancing:
Flowing with Mother Nature is another important aspect of being in retreat at Loma Sagrada. With both sunrise and sunset experienced each day and night from the top of the sacred knoll, you’ll have twelve hours of light, 6am-6pm hours. Close to the equator, establishing a healthy daily rhythm is an integral part of your experience. Once night falls, you will sense the energetic shift from vibrancy toward nurturance; the flow of each day will ride this gentle, relaxing wave. Wind down consciously to prepare for deep rest, so necessary for connection and healing.
Experiencial offerings:
The week will provide deepening through a multitude of offerings that stimulate the senses and support you in meeting aspects of yourself lying dormant. This retreat is more than just a mental exercise but a body, mind and spirit immersion. Experience a Temazcal purification ceremony, a beach mandala and labyrinth, a coffee scrub and kirtan mantra.
Open to everyone, TRUE SADHANA can be taken for personal enrichment, continued education OR as prerequisite for the 200hr Teacher Training.

All accommodations are designed with locally harvested teak wood and organic linens, AC, Wifi, an in-room safe and laundry facilities onsite.
Property
The seven acre property is comprised primarily of pristine Costa Rican jungle with a creek on the north side and ranch land with cows and horses to the south.
It’s a short walk to two wonderful beaches, Playa Guiones with some of the best surf in the country and Playa Garza, a local’s paradise and quiet fishing village.
As the crow flies, the property is 900 feet from the ocean, with the top of the knoll sitting at 125 feet above sea level, offering Panoramic views in every direction and postcard sunsets over the Pacific.
Pool
We also have one of two freshwater pools in Costa Rica (quite possibly all of Central America), that does not employ chemicals like chlorine, bromine or saltwater to manage water quality. Saltwater pools utilize a process that still creates and uses chlorine to manage the water. In our pool, biological life is managed holistically with various high-tech equipment from all over the world, creating a medicinal and soothing swimming experience.
Temple Rancho
The Temple Rancho is a traditionally built open-air space with a grass-roof and white-tiled floor. The Rancho is the highest point at Loma Sagrada offering 360-degree views of the ocean and jungle, welcoming both sunrise and sunset. The Temple hosts a variety of offerings including: meditation, live music, dance, spiritual teachings and more.
Water
With our dedication to clean land, water and air, we created a state-of-the-art water purification system that creates medical-grade purified water but then adds minerals and energy, creating a drinking water we call “Fountain of Youth.” The water system removes chemicals such as fluoride and chlorine from the water as well as heavy metals and sediment.
Sanitation
We have three Bionest septic systems that turn human waste into clean water that can be used to drip-irrigate the landscape.
Purification Lodge
Loma Sagrada has a Temazcal Purification Lodge offering participants the opportunity to explore the five temple doors of creation: physical, energetic, emotional, mental and spirital. The ceremony is guided by Eaden who has over 30 years of experience on the Red Road of Native American Spirituality. He apprenticed with a medicine man in the Lakota tradition for 20 years and completed his four-year pledge as a Sun Dancer in the lineage of Grandpa Fools Crow. While our lodge at Loma Sagrada is not a traditional Lokota ceremony, it contains all the elements to support deep transformation.
Yoga Shala
The open-air teak shala is surrounded by the lush jungle with regular visits from hummingbirds, butterflies and monkeys. The Zen space is energized by a gold-leaf Shri Yanta designed by Gemma Danielle supporting guests in cultivating a deep and nourishing yoga practice.
Food
At Loma Sagrada, we have worked to enhance the natural environment through sustainable building techniques, permaculture and biodynamic agriculture principles, which honor the natural flow patterns of the sun, wind, water, land, planets and stars. We have three primary growing areas situated within the lush jungle landscape: a jungle garden, fruit orchard and herb terrace.
Jungle Garden
The Jungle Garden has organic chickens, stingless honey bees, veggies, herbs, fruit and berries. There is also an herb drying room, a teaching space, and a biodigester that composts food scraps and other organic waste into a liquid fertilizer and gas that powers the Jungle Garden Casa's stove.
Fruit Orchard
On the top of the knoll, surrounding the Temple Rancho, sits an orchard with over 40 species of exotic fruit trees. Guests can walk through a meandering pathway to pick and enjoy the amazing exotic fruits that are in season.
Multi-leveled Herb Terrace
The Herb Terraces at Loma Sagrada grow both medicinal and culinary herbs, with a fire circle and Temazcal Purification Lodge. Our goal is to grow more food than we need and share it with the community.
